How to Test Your System
Call the Central Monitoring Station at 1-800-434-4000 and ask for your system to be put on test.
Give them your account code and passcode.
Arm your system and set it off. Allow your system to be in alarm for at least 30 seconds. Disarm your system.
Call the Central Monitoring Station and ask them if they received a signal from your account and what signal they received.
If they received the signal from the zone you put into alarm, you know your system is communicating properly.
Clear the alarm memory by first acknowledging the alarm and then clearing the alarm by arming/disarming the system. You do not need to wait for the system to be completely armed before disarming it.
You have successfully tested your system. Test your system regularly, at least MONTHLY.
If the Central Station did not receive the signal from your system, please notify us.
Video Surveillance systems should be checked regularly as well. Go to the Search page to make sure you have an adequate number of days being recorded.
